In addition to making us laugh (a lot), Jen talks to us about childhood anxiety, phobias, and health anxiety. She also explains how our imaginations can actually help us manage our anxiety through creative storytelling.
About Jen Kirkman:
Jen toured nationally and internationally as a solo stand-up comedian for over a decade. She retired from touring in 2019 and in 2021 recorded new material that will be released as a comedy album (“OK, Gen-X”) on March 25th. Jen’s latest project is hosting a new weekly podcast about anxiety called “Anxiety Bites”.
Jen is currently a co-producer on The Amazon Prime series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She’s written for sitcoms and late-night shows as well such as E!’s Chelsea Lately, Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, NBC’s Perfect Couples, CW’s Girls on the Bus and The Kids in the Hall Reboot. In addition to two Netflix comedy specials, Jen has also authored two bestselling books.
